Department Profiles
Business Development
The Business Development Department is comprised of ukngroup's Sales and Marketing teams who carry responsibility for driving forward all new business and marketing services to potential clients.
The sales team is structured into industry vertical groups with teams of Internal and External Account Executives reporting into the Head of Business Development. The ukngroup salesforce is an exciting place to work with key emphasis on team ethics and the ability to effectively network with clients, partners and internal departments.
The Account Executives are supported by an in-house Marketing team with responsibility for ukngroup's marketplace profile. Activity is varied and provides much of the groundwork for successful sales operations.
Training comprises an important part of the role for each member of the Business Development team and helps to take forward the exciting and innovative work upon which the business if founded.
Corporate Services
The department encompasses the following key areas of support to the business: Human Resources, Health & Safety, Administration, Procurement and Facilities Management.
The Human Rosources department has strategic positioning within each of ukngroup’s business units - offering specific expertise to assist with recruitment, training and staff development, employee relations and internal communications. We help to enable implementation of integrated solutions in line with our values, working directly with the business to develop policies, practices and programmes that will support a high performance culture and enable us to attract, develop and retain top quality and highly motivated employees.
Procurement is carried out by a specialist team who work to build and maintain relationships with suppliers in line with delivering ukngroup's solutions. Strategic sourcing is about finding the most cost effective and efficient approach for both internal and external clients.
Finance
The Finance department arranges funding and payments for all company activities in line with the business plan and works closely with all other departments to ensure their needs are met within their budget . Under the guidance of the Finance Director the team is responsible for keeping timely and accurate accounting records in line with auditing standards.
Operations
The Operations department consists of two distinct areas, Strategy and Core:
Strategy focuses on service design and works closely with the ukngroup Sales team to support their processes and to ensure that the service provided to the client is properly established, aligned with ukngroup best practice, meets specific client needs, which are fully operational from day one.
Core focuses on the day-to-day and on-going efficient delivery of the service. The Core team and the processes within are ITIL aligned with an emphasis of continual service improvement.
Professional Services
Professional Services Department consists of five departments tasked with ukngroup's consultancy, technical strategy and effective project delivery.
Research and Development – research and develop new technologies and solutions with emphasis on improving and further developing existing solutions.
Technical Design Authority – design and architecture of solutions for the end client based on existing technologies and/or the output of the R&D; creating standards; preparing design and implementation documentation.
Projects – implementation of solutions for end clients.
Support – post-implementation support and service support
Pre-sales – pre-sales consultancy to help our clients understand how solutions integrate with their existing infrastructure and address their challenges.
