ukngroup to feature alongside Cabinet Office CIO John Suffolk at Government IT '08

January 11, 2008

Cabinet Office CIO John Suffolk is expected to outline his vision for cost effective, flexible working at this year’s Government IT conference in London on Thursday 31st January.

The event will also see workshops and public sector case studies presented by ukngroup, a market leader in the field of Ultra Thin-Client computing and advocates of a utility model for desktop services.

Sun Microsystems is co-sponsoring Government IT ‘08 along with ukngroup and experts from both companies will be on hand to discuss how central and local government can benefit by switching to a managed desktop service.

Set around the theme “Delivering 21st Century Transformational Government” the conference agenda looks at delivering IT enabled change, the public sector flex contract, green IT, identity management and flexible working. Delegates will be invited to discuss how the public sector landscape has evolved along with their own ideas for the future.
