Little Heath School hosts 'Sun Ray' technology evening for local schools
January 12, 2008
In December, Little Heath School opened its doors to neighbouring schools and invited them to experience ukngroup’s approach to reducing the cost of ICT within education.
The Reading secondary school serves approximately 1600 pupils and benefits from specialist status in Science and Mathematics, meaning that technology and ICT are high on the teaching agenda.
Attendees from 13 other schools came to see Assistant Head teacher Katie Smart introduce the new technology and give colleagues an overview of where ICT was heading at Little Heath.
Presently three classrooms have been transformed; with the installation of 60 Sun Ray 2 ‘ultra’ thin-clients bringing a host of benefits for the school mainly as a result of their low cost, robust design and improved flexibility.
ukngroup currently provide fully managed IT services at the school and are working closely with them to bring their entire estate up-to-date and introduce modern, efficient and long lasting technology.
