Software

The ukngroup UTC proposition is a bespoke solution to the meet challenges of delivering cost effective, server based desktop computing - made different by it's independence from specific technology and fixed delivery methods.

What really sets us apart from our competition is the depth of understanding we have for the range of possibilities associated with switching to UTC.

The solution architecture is built around a number of software applications which can be "plugged-in" at varying stages within a project to incorporate additional levels of service or unlock new infrastructure functionality, such as application streaming, single sign-on or flexible remote access.

Clients will most likely be choosing from either a Windows Terminal Services or Citrix delivery, which can be supported with ukngroup developed load balancing and presentation. We also offer the option to integrate VMWare Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) in order to meet demands for application specific compatibility.

ukngroup’s industry accredited consultants will work to understand the specific challenges being faced in an organisation, and provide a walkthrough of the software solutions to address those key issues.

In larger organisations with significant application diversity, we offer a complete service to audit the estate, package the software and implement the solution as widely and as effectively as possible. We can also clearly demonstrate how application release and deployment procedure can be reduced from weeks or months to a matter of days.

Our in-house developed processes have given us the ability to package the vast majority of corporate applications - ready for thin-client deployment, with the minimum of disruption to “business as normal”.

Software Audit and Migration

One of the first questions asked by our customers when considering the switch to Ultra Thin-Client computing is how to take an infrastructure with a high degree of application complexity and successfully present those applications using remote delivery. More >
